Business Intelligence is going to be one of the fastest areas of growth and interest in the coming years. The reasons are fairly simple. We are creating information faster than we can consume it and while we do not need to be aware or process all of this we do need to ensure that we process the information that is relevant to us. The world we live in is not just the tangible one. Business intelligence holds the key to ensuring we receive relevant structured and unstructured information - without having to go look for it.
Over the next few months I will share my thoughts on how I see this evolving and some of the challenges we need to overcome. Would love to hear other points of view...
